This area operates from 2:00 in the morning. This facility operates from 2:00 in the morning until 5:00 PM, six days a week, from 8:00 to 5:00 on Sunday. We serve the northern part of the Portland region. That includes the haulers that pick up the garbage at your house, or the small contractors that are doing remodeling projects in the region, or the self-haul public that are just cleaning out their garage on a weekend.

All of the operators here, all the staff here, are all about recycling and getting customers in and out safely and efficiently. That's what we're all about. So waste comes in. If there's some material that we can safely recycle, we will, which is what the storyline here is that we're looking at today. The crew of seven right now is pulling out wood, metal, and cardboard and many other materials as possible as the waste goes down the conveyor in front of them.
