(DESCRIPTION) Two women stand next to each other in an office. Text, Adele McClain, Apple Valley Adult School. (SPEECH) ADELE MCCLAIN: I will be forever grateful to CDE and OTAN for the opportunity to participate in DLAC. As an administrator, I learned how to build a collaborative team with a growth mindset, to construct student-centered inclusive pathways for our learners. I came into OTAN with a project design. The communication tools I learned at OTAN helped me to transform the culture of my administrative team on my campus. Working with OTAN and the DLAC team, we are now bringing vital resources to the most remote corners of our desert region, including free curriculum, professional development, team building, and AI training. Through the guidance I've received in this program, I now know how to better access and implement technical assistance from OTAN, Calpro, Capetap, and Air. No matter what problem we run across, I know I have the tools to help my staff to design and implement effective change. (DESCRIPTION) Text, Melina Bezada, Apple Valley Adult School. (SPEECH) MELINA BEZADA: I have learned so much about how to improve the program for our students we serve. I've learned from our DLAC leaders, Neda Anasseri and Dr. Paul Porter about my personal strengths. I can better help students to access technology, not only for their schoolwork, but also to access health care and community service.
