ALEX HUNTER: My name is Alex, and I'm currently an accounting intern at Principal within Internal Audit and Risk Consulting. Interning at Principal has been extremely rewarding. I've had the opportunity to work on projects that solve real business problems and learn from amazing mentors and leaders along the way.

One of the key projects I've contributed to this summer is automation within audit testing. This has been in collaboration with data analysts and audit managers around my department. One of my favorite networking opportunities has been connecting with the chief accounting officers of each business unit area. Principal helps set me up for success in my internship by aligning my internship experience with both my interests and my academic background.
