BRENNA: Hi. My name is Brenna, and I am a sales intern here at Principal Financial Group on the Retirement Income Solutions side in both the Chicago and Des Moines office.

With it being my second year here as an intern, I was so eager to come back and work for Principal again.

As a Retirement Income Solutions sales intern, I have the opportunity to work on a capstone project throughout the entire summer where I get to learn a ton about how our sales reps personally give their own sales pitch to our potential clients.

My experience interning here at Principal has been such a rewarding experience, not only because of how much I'm learning every single day, but also the people and the culture here that make me so excited, genuinely, to come in to work every single day and learn something new.

One of my favorite networking opportunities that I've gotten the chance to take part in is going to the Iowa Cubs game with other interns, my leader, as well as internal and external wholesalers. It was such a fun way to talk business, but then also enjoy the ball game and just enjoy the sunshine all together.
